Sportsbook – Some Losing NBA Teams are Good Bets

Sportsbook – Some Losing NBA Teams are Good Bets.  If you look at the NBA standings at the sportsbook you will find a number of teams with bad straight up records but not all of them are bad bets against the spread.  Let’s take a look at some losing teams who are actually winners for you at the online sportsbook.

Philadelphia 76ers (20-26 SU, 29-16-1 ATS)
The 76ers are six games under .500 but they are 13 games over .500 against the spread. They are definitely an interesting team for gamblers. Rarely is a team this good against the spread with a losing record but Philadelphia always seems to keep games close. The 76ers are still remotely in the playoff race in the East but they probably won’t make it. Philadelphia is very well coached and they always give a good effort and that is the mark of a team you want to bet against the spread at Sbgglobal.

Detroit Pistons (17-30 SU, 27-20 ATS)
How in the world is Detroit covering the spread?  They are dealing with the Richard Hamilton mess and they don’t have anyone who can really score consistently. They are still finding ways to cover though.  The Pistons play decent defense but if there is a team who could fall apart at any moment it would seem to be Detroit.

Golden State Warriors (19-27 SU, 24-21-1 ATS)
The Warriors score a lot of points but don’t play defense.  Normally that is not a recipe for covering the spread at the online sportsbook but Golden State has their head above .500 against the point spread.

Charlotte Bobcats (20-25 SU, 23-20-2 ATS)
The Bobcats could be a team to follow in the second half of the season.  Head coach Paul Silas has done a very nice job and the Bobcats might not even be out of the playoff picture.  Under Silas the Bobcats are winning games straight up and against the spread. Charlotte is covering both at home and on the road against the NBA odds at the sportsbook.  Don’t sleep on Charlotte right now as they are a very good team to bet.

Those four teams have been good against the spread even though they have losing records.  One team you don’t want to take though is Cleveland. They are rotten both straight up and against the spread.  The Cavaliers are last in the league in wins straight up and they are last in the league against the spread.
