Sportsbook Site – High Priced Heat Suffer another Injury

Sportsbook Site – High Priced Heat Suffer another Injury. The Miami Heat are the favorites at the sportsbook site to win the NBA title this season but all is not well in Miami. The Heat has not had guard Dwyane Wade for almost all of the preseason and now guard Mike Miller is injured.  The Heat are getting a ton of press at the sportsbook page but before you go and plunk down cash on Miami you may want to see just how good they really are.

Miami is expected to have Wade back for their season opener but Miller is going to be out for at least a few weeks with a thumb injury.  Miller was expected to provide outside shooting this season for the Heat and he will be missed. Miller had been starting in the preseason in place of Wade who has missed all but a few minutes of the preseason with a hamstring injury. Miller was averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists in the preseason.

High Expectations
The Heat are expected to win a lot of games this season and dominate the league.  It may not happen. LeBron James is still a great player and when Wade is healthy he is very good too and there is no doubt that Chris Bosh can score.  What is in question is how much the loss of Miller will hurt and if everything will come together for the Heat.  Keep in mind that the Heat have an insanely high season win total of 64.5 at SBG and they are less than 2-1 to win the NBA title. Maybe the Heat will just blow other teams away in the regular season but count me as a skeptic.  James has never won anything in his career and although he is extremely talented, he may not dominate every night.  The public still loves Miami though at the sportsbook site as people are betting that win total over.

Miller’s Numbers
Miller signed a $25 million, five-year contract with Miami. He was being counted on to provide outside shooting.  He was the league’s second-best shooter from 3-point range last season.  The Heat will miss his shooting as they don’t have a legitimate outside threat.  You might want to watch Miami for a while this season before you get too excited about betting their odds at the sportsbook page.
