Sportsbook Online Allen Iverson Set to Join Memphis

Sportsbook online has Allen Iverson set to join the Memphis Grizzlies. Can the Grizzlies find enough playing time for Iverson considering they already have players like O.J. Mayo and Zach Randolph who want the ball? Memphis is considered a longshot at the offshore sportsbook in NBA odds to win the title.

Sportsbook online had Iverson averaging 17.5 points per game a year ago with the Detroit Pistons. Memphis will be Iverson’s third different team and it could be a successful one in sports betting if the Grizzlies find a way to share the ball and play defense. It was reported in online betting that Iverson met on Monday with Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, general manager Chris Wallace and head coach Lionel Hollins. The Grizzlies are said to be offering Iverson one-year deal worth $3.5 million as sportsbook online notes. That is a huge pay drop as offshore sportsbook numbers indicate but there were not many teams interested in the 34-year old shooter.

“We had a very productive meeting yesterday where both sides got to know each other and what our expectations were.” Wallace said in a radio interview, “We got to hear Allen out, he got to hear us out and I thought it went pretty well.”

Last sportsbook online season, Iverson played in only 57 games with Detroit. His 17.5 points per game were a career low as sportsbook online stats indicate. “Memphis is a place that I would love to play. The Grizzlies have good young players with a great upside. I love the city of Memphis, too. I would lead by example,” Iverson said on Twitter.

Sportsbook online has the Grizzlies with Mayo, Mike Conley and Iverson competing for minutes at guard. Offshore sportsbook had the team looking at being very young with Mayo, Conley, Marc Gasol and No. 2 overall draft pick Hasheem Thabeet. Sportsbook online had the Grizzlies owner being excited about adding Iverson. “He’s one of the greatest players in the last 10 years in the NBA.” Heisley said, “He told us he was very interested in playing with the young team we’ve assembled. He thought he could help us win and he was looking forward to helping the young players, and helping them to develop. Frankly, I’m ecstatic to have him.”

Memphis is 150-1 in sports betting odds at the offshore sportsbook to win the 2009-2010 NBA title.
