Sportsbook News: Quarterbacks Lead the Way in 2010 NFL Draft

Sportsbook odds will be on the board for the 2010 NFL Draft. Much of the attention will be focused on the quarterbacks. St. Louis has the number one pick and the odds at the sportsbook favor the Rams to take Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford.Sportsbook numbers will feature a number of quarterbacks on the board.  The Rams are expected to take Bradford with the top pick but he is not the only big name. Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen could also go in the first round while Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has been drawing a lot of attention.

The 2010 NFL Draft should start with Bradford.  He was injured last season but he has all the tools that NFL teams look for in a quarterback.  He is 6-foot-4 and 236 pounds. He has the frame that NFL scouts really like. He has a big arm and is considered a potential franchise quarterback.  The Rams have come to that conclusion as well and are expected to take him with the first overall pick.

Jimmy Clausen was very good last year for Notre Dame. Some people love him while others have some reservations.  Clausen had 28 touchdowns and just four interceptions a year ago.  He is almost 6-foot-3 and is 222 pounds. He also has a big arm that scouts like.  Many at the sportsbook believe that Clausen will be a first round pick.

Tim Tebow is the most intriguing quarterback in the draft and that one that could really be interesting in terms of odds at the sportsbook.  He is not rated as highly as Bradford or Clausen but some teams really like him.  Tebow has been working on changing his throwing motion and his draft status continues to rise.  He was not thought of as a first round or early second round pick but that has changed.

There are other quarterbacks who could get some attention in the NFL Draft including Texas quarterback Colt McCoy. He is only 6-foot-1 and doesn’t have a huge arm but there are scouts who like him. Jevan Snead is another quarterback that has potential.  He simply flopped last year at Ole Miss after being a Heisman candidate. Dan LeFevour played at a smaller school at Central Michigan but he does have the skills that could make him worth a shot in the middle rounds of the draft.
