Sportsbook – Nash Doesn’t Like the Suns Chances. The Phoenix Suns may not be a team you want to be betting a lot this season at the sportsbook. And this is more than just an idle opinion. Guard Steve Nash doesn’t even like his team’s chances heading into the 2010-2011 season. Phoenix might not even be a playoff team this season which means they are not going to be a team you want to bet right now at the sports book.
Nash said recently that he is not picking his team to be a playoff team this season. When a player doesn’t like his team’s chances then you really can’t like the team when you are betting at the Sbg global sportsbook.
Big Drop for Phoenix
You may have already forgotten but the Suns made the Western Conference Finals last season. They couldn’t get past the Los Angeles Lakers but there is no shame in that as no one else could either. The Suns may have seen their best days though. They lost Amare Stoudemire and things do not look bright for the Suns at the sports book.
Alvin Gentry has a Tough Job
There is no doubt that Alvin Gentry did a great job last year. He led the Suns to a 54-28 record and the Western Conference finals. He is not going to get the Suns that far this year. This year’s team is simply not as good. The loss of Stoudemire is huge. They added Hakim Warrick and Hedo Turkoglu in hopes of replacing Stoudemire. That is a joke. Neither of those two players can come close to doing what Stoudemire did. Nash has seen the handwriting on the wall and has said as much. There may have been some hope if Josh Childress was healthy but he is hurt. The team is relying upon Nash to do everything and he is not getting any younger. He turns 37 in February.
Bet Against Phoenix
You should bet against the Suns this season at the sportsbook. When their best player doesn’t like their chances then you go against this team. It is Nash and a bunch of bench players. Jason Richardson can sometimes score, Grant Hill is a nice guy and Robin Lopez is decent center but none of them can score every night.
