Phil Mickelson is the favorite at the sportsbook to win the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial this week. In three of the past four years, this tournament has gone to a playoff.Mickelson is the favorite at the sportsbook this week but there are a number of contenders including four players ranked in the Top 10 in the world.
Sportsbook odds on Mickelson have him at 7-1. He is the only player in single-digits this week. Jim Furyk is the second choice at 15-1 while Tim Clark, Steve Stricker and Paul Casey are each 18-1. Last year in this tournament it was Stricker beating Clark and Steve Marino in a playoff.
Five players in the field that are ranked in the Top 10 in the world include Mickelson who is ranked #2 in the world while Stricker is ranked 4th, Furyk 5th, Ian Poulter 6th and Casey 8th. Clark is not in the Top 10 in the world but he is 4th in the FEDEXCUP standings. In the field this week are a lot of big names including many who have already won this year.
