Sportsbook – Don’t Blink During Notre Dame Games. When you bet on Notre Dame this season at the sportsbook you won’t want to blink when watching their games or you might miss something. New head coach Brian Kelly has said he is going to go with a hurry-up, no-huddle offense this season. That should make the Fighting Irish fun to watch and potentially a profitable team to bet on at the Internet sportsbook.
Sportsbook odds at SBG favor Notre Dame in their home opener on Saturday, September 4th in a game that will be shown on NBC. And don’t expect NBC to be taking long commercial breaks during Notre Dame Games this season. Kelly has already talked to the network about taking long commercial breaks.
Notre Dame is going to have a hurry-up offense and Kelly doesn’t want it screwed up by NBC’s coverage.
It is rare for a school to talk to a network about how they televise a game but that seems to be what Notre Dame is doing with NBC. Notre Dame seems to be getting what they want as NBC is going to have five shorter breaks per quarter this season. They had four longer breaks in the past. Now they will be going more with an NFL type format.
NBC Rolling Over: NBC has taken the party line in their defense as they said that a number of factors have led them to change their format. We all know that NBC was told by Notre Dame to change their format and that is what they did.
Money Talks: The contract between NBC and Notre Dame is reportedly worth $15 million dollars per season for football. With Brian Kelly expected to improve Notre Dame’s performance on the field, NBC doesn’t want to lose Notre Dame. They basically gave in to what the Irish requested or should we say demanded.
Notre Dame Speed: Kelly coached Cincinnati from 2006 to 2009 and his teams were quick. They averaged just 2 minutes, 19 seconds per scoring drive. Their time of possession was the lowest in the country. NBC should actually be happy about the request as now they can sell more commercials that are shorter.
You may want to shorten your bathroom and snack breaks quick while you are watching Notre Dame games this season……lol
