Sportsbook – Can Ohio State Run the Table?

Sportsbook – Can Ohio State Run the Table this time around?.  The top team in college hoops at the sportsbook is the Ohio State Buckeyes. They are unbeaten and ranked #1 in the country.  The question that is starting to get asked at the sportsbook is whether Ohio State can actually run the table and head into the postseason unbeaten.

Jared Sullinger
The Buckeyes are led by freshman Jared Sullinger who is simply overwhelming Big 10 opponents. He had 27 points and 16 rebounds in the win over Illinois this past weekend.  He was 13-of-15 from the free throw line in the 73-68 victory as Ohio State covered the spread vs. the odds at Sbgglobal.  It didn’t matter that Illinois was ranked in the Top 25 and playing at home in front of a sold-out crowd.

Sullinger was calm and cool and the Buckeyes got a tough road win. The top six teams in the Big 10 were a perfect 19-0 at home until the Buckeyes won at Illinois.  The Buckeyes have a veteran team but it is Sullinger who can’t be stopped.  No one player can contain him.  When referees are calling fouls then the Buckeyes are going to be very good because Sullinger gets to the line a lot.  It is the mark of a pro player and Sullinger already looks like a future NBA star.

Remaining Schedule
The Big 10 is such a good conference that it seemed unlikely any team could run the table and go unbeaten but Ohio State has all the makings of a team that can do it.  Their biggest tests remaining look to be at Minnesota, at Wisconsin, at Purdue and at Penn State.  This week the Buckeyes host Purdue and while the Boilermakers are good, the game is at home and Ohio State should win vs. the odds at the sportsbook.

They go to Northwestern on Saturday and the Wildcats probably don’t have enough for the Buckeyes.  Next week Ohio State hosts Michigan and goes to Minnesota.  If Ohio State is to lose a game it will probably come in a three game stretch where they host Michigan State, go to Purdue and host Illinois.  They will probably close out the season with wins vs. the sportsbook odds over Indiana and Penn State and at home against Wisconsin.
