Sportbooks Betting – KU Coach Mangino Under Fire

Sportbooks betting this college football season has seen Kansas struggle and things are not getting any better as head coach Mark Mangino is under fire for allegations he has verbally abused players. Sportsbooks have the Jayhawks big sportbooks betting underdogs this week in their game against 2nd ranked Texas.

Sportbooks betting has seen Kansas go 5-5 straight up but a pathetic 2-7 against the odds at sportsbooks. The Jayhawks are unlikely to have success this week either in sportbooks betting since they are nearly four touchdown underdogs at sportsbooks in their game against Texas.

Kansas is definitely facing a mess and it won’t help them in sportbooks betting.  Former Kansas players have been coming out and saying that Mangino would verbally abuse them. Sportbooks betting had former Kansas wide receiver Raymond Brown saying that Mangino would “say personal, hurtful, embarrassing things in front of people.” The University of Kansas has launched an investigation and it seems unlikely that Mangino will continue to be coaching at Kansas past this sportbooks betting year.  Former wide receiver Marcus Herford said, “[Mangino] would take your personal business and he would attack you with it. There’s nothing wrong with being a disciplinarian. But there is a way to handle your players and keep them motivated. His way was to de-motivate you and make you feel as low as you can go.” Former linebacker Joe Mortensen called Mangino “ruthless.”

Sportbooks betting had Mangino saying that he has done nothing wrong. “I have not done anything that’s inappropriate,” Mangino said. “I have been in this conference for nearly 20 years, and what I can tell you is that our coaching intensity does not largely differ from the other Big Eight and Big 12 teams that I have observed. We have handled this program in terms of intensity and holding players accountable the same since 2002 to today. Nothing’s changed. Absolutely nothing has changed.”

Kansas was seen as a major contender in the Big 12 before this sportbooks betting season began but things have not gone well.  Quarterback Todd Reesing was considered a major player in the Big 12 who could impact odds at sportsbooks and although he has thrown for 2,861 yards this sportsbooks season he has not played as well as a year ago.  Kansas is 27th in the country in total yards as sportbooks betting stats show. Defensively they are 50th in total yards allowed as sportbooks betting statistics had it.
