Sport Book Two Top Closers Injured

Sport book fans will have to keep their eyes on two top Major League Baseball teams that are dealing with injuries to their closers. The New York Yankees, who are the sports betting favorites at the Internet sportbook to win the World Series, are without Mariano Rivera while the Colorado Rockies are without Huston Street.

Sport book has the Yankees in a better position than the Rockies. The Yankees have a good lead in the American League East and they also have Phil Hughes who can fill in while Rivera is out. Rivera was held out of Wednesday’s game with a sore left groin. “That’s good, because it’s not my pushing leg,” Rivera said. “You don’t want to have that kind of injury, especially in your legs, but it’s nothing we’re worried about. We will take care of it and work at it. Everything will be fine.” Rivera has been fantastic this season as stats indicate. He has 38 saves in 39 chances as Internet sport book numbers have it.

Internet sport book stats tell us that the Yankees have the best record in the league. They are well ahead of the Red Sox in the American League East and have a solid lead over the Angels for home field advantage in the American League as online sports betting has it. They have no need to rush Rivera back. “We have a lot of time, so I don’t want to push it and make it worse,” Rivera said.

The Colorado Rockies have no such luxury as sport book tells us. Their closer, Huston Street is needed since the Rockies are fighting for the Wild Card in the National League. “Right now it’s wait-and-see and hope the inflammation dies down a little bit,” Street said, “You sit back and hope that it gets better. That’s how you have to deal with tendinitis.” Street has been almost as good as Rivera as sport book stats indicate. He is 33 out of 34 in save chances this season as Internet sport book numbers show.

In other Colorado Rockies news, the team is hoping that veteran right-hander Jose Contreras can help down the stretch. He is 5-13 with a 5.42 in 21 starts this season as sport book statistics tell us but says he can help. “I just want fans to know that once I got traded, I feel like I got a clean start,” he said. Contreras will make his debut for the Rockies against Arizona in sport book odds on Saturday.
