South Florida Hires Skip Holtz Sportsbook Betting

South Florida Hires Skip Holtz Sportsbook Betting. Sportsbook betting continues to see coaching changes in college football. The latest one has South Florida hiring Skip Holtz away from East Carolina. Holtz will replace Jim Leavitt, who was fired amid allegations he grabbed a player and then covered it up.  Sportsbooks stats had Holtz going 38-27 in five years with East Carolina.

Sportsbook betting had seen East Carolina do pretty well with Holtz at the helm. The team had some nice sportsbook betting wins and two straight USA Championships.  Holtz was set to be coach at East Carolina through 2013 but his buyout was very cheap at $100,000.

Holtz really did a very nice job turning East Carolina around as sportsbook betting stats have it. East Carolina was a joke at sportsbooks before Holtz took the job. They had lost 22 of their last 25 games as sportsbook betting results showed.  Holtz arrived and turned things around quickly, reaching a bowl game in his second year.  East Carolina won a bowl game in his third season as sportsbook betting statistics showed.  The conference titles were the first for East Carolina since 1976.  East Carolina finished this season at 9-5 straight up. They were 7-6 versus the odds at sportsbooks.

Skip Holtz is the son of former Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz. Skip has been mentioned for coaching vacancies the last couple of sportsbooks years and now he will get to take over at South Florida. He has a tough act to follow in Leavitt though as sportsbook betting numbers indicated. South Florida has also had a lot of recent sportsbook betting success.  This was actually one of the worst seasons for South Florida and they still finished at 8-5 straight up and 6-6 against the sportsbook betting odds.

South Florida is in the Big East and while the Big East is better than Conference USA, Holtz can do well with the Bulls. South Florida has the potential to compete in the Big East and that has been proven in the past few sportsbook betting years.  The Big East still has an automatic BCS bowl bid so Holtz is stepping into a good situation in South Florida as sportsbook betting had it. “My parents live in Orlando and my wife is from Port Charlotte,” Holtz said, “We would have four grandparents right here. There are a lot of positives to it. It’s definitely an up-and-coming program.”
