Rice and Smith Lead Hall of Fame Inductees – Sportsbook

Rice and Smith Lead Hall of Fame Inductees – Sportsbook.  Sportsbook had Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith leading a group of seven NFL Hall of Fame inductees. The NFL doesn’t announce the voting results for the Hall of Fame but there was no doubt that Rice and Smith would be inducted in their first year of eligibility.  Rice and Smith are considered two of the greatest players of all time by many at the online sportsbook.

Sportsbook had both Rice and Smith getting very emotional when they were told about their induction. “They told me, ‘Don’t cry,’ ” Rice said, “It meant the world to me, just like winning a Super Bowl. On draft day, I didn’t take that for granted. I didn’t take this for granted.”  Smith was extremely emotional as well. “This is almost perfect,” Smith said. “I don’t think even Steven Spielberg could have written a script this nice. So many people said I could not do it. I believed in that little giant inside of me that said I can.” Sportsbook has Rice and Smith and the other five players scheduled for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 7th in Canton, Ohio.

Rice is considered the greatest wide receiver of all time and Smith is right there as one of the greatest running backs ever.  They each won three Super Bowls as sportsbook statistics indicate.  Rice is the career receiving and touchdowns leader while Smith holds the all-time rushing lead. Sportsbook stats had Rice playing 20 years for San Francisco, Oakland and Seattle. He had 1,549 catches for 22,895 yards and 208 TDs as online sportsbook statistics indicate.  Sportsbook numbers had Smith finishing with 18,355 yards and 164 touchdowns.

Online sportsbook had the other five inductees as John Randle, Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Floyd Little and Dick LeBeau.  The senior committee elected Little and LeBeau.  Just missing out on election were wide receivers Cris Carter and Tim Brown.

Sportsbook stats had Jackson finishing a 15-season career with 128 Sacks. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection. Randle had 137.5 sacks for Minnesota and Seattle. That is tied for sixth all-time as sportsbook has it and Randle was a seven time Pro Bowl selection. Grimm was a three-time Super Bowl winner and he made four Pro Bowls. LeBeau is the defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers and was also a great cornerback with the Lions. Little led the NFL in rushing in 1971 as online sportsbook numbers show and in rushing TDs in 1973.
