Deshaun Watson completed 25 of 34 pass attempts for 351 yards and 3 TDs for the Texans in the win.
Austin Ekeler rushed for 36 yards for Los Angeles, while Justin Jackson added 26 yards. Philip Rivers threw for 318 yards for the Chargers, while receivers Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler had 183 and 45 yards respectively.
Los Angeles was outgained by Houston 376-366 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-20 by the Chargers.
Houston lost the time of possession battle 31:48-28:12, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
