Browns vs Lions Final: 20-16 - Recap

The Browns grabbed a Pre-Season Week 4 victory over the Lions on Thursday, winning 20-16 at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Browns won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -5.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Dontrell Hilliard rushed for 65 yards, while A.J. Ouellette added 19 yards in the win. Ishmael Hyman and Derrick Willies added 61 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Mark Thompson rushed for 35 yards for Detroit, while Josh Johnson added 17 yards. Josh Johnson threw for 157 yards for the Lions, while receivers Travis Fulgham and Isaac Nauta had 80 and 45 yards respectively.

Detroit was outgained by Cleveland 336-204 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-12 by the Browns.

Detroit lost the time of possession battle 32:26-27:34, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Cleveland takes its act home to face Tennessee looking for another win. For Detroit, they head on the road to face Arizona.
