Rangers and Flames Complete Four-Player Deal

Rangers and Flames Complete Four-Player Deal Before Season Starts. Sportsbook online had the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames completing a four-player trade headlined by Ales Kotalik and Olli Jokinen. Both teams could have their offshore sportsbook results impacted by the deal since both Kotalik and Jokinen are capable scorers.

Sportsbook online had the Rangers sending Kotalik and Christopher Higgins to the Flames for Jokinen and Brandon Prust.  Kotalik and Jokinen are having disappointing seasons and both teams are hoping the change of scenery gets them going. Jokinen has 11 goals and 24 assists in 56 games this season with Calgary. Prust had one goal and four assists in 43 games with the Flames but he is known for his fighting since he is second in the NHL with 18 fighting majors.

New York is hoping that Jokinen can center a line that includes Marian Gaborik.  Whether or not Jokinen will be inspired to play is another story. “Definitely, it’s a slap in the face to get traded,” Jokinen said, “It was a long day. We heard everything [Sunday] night, I was kind of surprised. I wasn’t expecting to get moved, but it’s part of the business and I’ve got to move on.”

Offshore sportsbook numbers have this as the sixth team for Jokinen in his career. He has 248 goals and 305 assists in 854 NHL games as sportsbook online stats indicate.  He would have preferred to stay with Calgary. “I enjoyed my time here, and I was hoping I could stay here for the rest of my career. Like I say, it’s a cruel business, but that’s the way it goes. It comes with the salary. You make $5 million, 11 goals is not going to cut it.”

Calgary has been making a lot of moves, many of which don’t look very good on the surface as offshore sportsbook numbers indicate.  The Flames have not played well of late and the front office has panicked.  Calgary has now traded for five forwards and a defenseman in the last week as offshore sportsbook stats indicated.  The Flames lost badly on Monday at home to Philadelphia in sportsbook online action.  The home crowed loudly booed them off the ice.  Calgary has now traded away two of their best players in Dion Phaneuf and Jokinen and picked up very little in return.  Kotalik had just eight goals in 45 sportsbook online games and hasn’t even played in eight of the previous nine.  Higgins had only six goals and eight assists as online sportsbook stats showed. Calgary still has a winning record although they have not played well of late in sportsbook online results.
