Raiders Make Janikowski Richest Kicker

Raiders Make Janikowski Richest Kicker online had the Oakland Raiders giving kicker Sebastian Janikowski the biggest kicking contract in NFL history. Offshore sportsbook numbers have the deal being for four years and $16 million including $9 million guaranteed.

Sportsbook online had Janikowski making 26 of 29 field goals last year for the Raiders. He has scored 1,000 points in his 10-year career with the Raiders.  He has made 78.4 percent of his field goal attempts and he has missed only three of this 316 extra point tries as sportsbook online stats indicated. Janikowski made six field goals of 50 yards or more last sportsbook online season including a 61-yarder that was the fourth-longest in NFL history. Not only was Janikowski a good field goal kicker, he was also a good kickoff man.  He had 17 touchbacks last offshore sportsbook NFL season and that was the sixth-best in the league.

The Raiders wasted a first-round pick on Janikowski in 2000 and that made him the first kicker to be taken in the first round in 21 years.  Offshore sportsbook has no kicker being worth a first round pick and Janikowski wasn’t worth one either.  He has been very good lately though but his best seasons have come in years that the Raiders have not been any good. Oakland has had no trouble paying their kickers.  They gave big money to punter Shane Lechler last year as sportsbook online numbers indicated.  It is too bad that the Raiders don’t have much else besides two good kickers.  Oakland has not drafted well or made many intelligent decisions in recent years under owner Al Davis.  They have continually thrown money away and giving Janikowski a record deal may also have been unwise.  He has great numbers but on a team that is not a playoff contender, a kicker is a low priority.

Janikowski would have been a free agent as sportsbook online indicated so now the top two kickers on the free agent market are the Jets’ Jay Feely and Cincinnati’s Shayne Graham.

The Raiders will be looking to sign defensive lineman Richard Seymour. They traded for him last sportsbook online football season and they would like to get a long-term deal worked out.  That may not be possible so it could be they put the franchise tag on Seymour which would mean over $12 million for Seymour this offshore sportsbook year.
