Raider Coach Cable May be Arrested Online Sportsbooks

Online sportsbooks bettors are avoiding the Oakland Raiders like the internet sportsbook plague that they are but things could even get worse for the Silver and Black. Online sportsbooks handicappers are waiting on whether or not Oakland head coach Tom Cable is going to be arrested during the internet sportsbook season for an alleged assault on an assistant.

The incident occurred during preseason training camp when assistant coach Randy Hanson had his jaw broke on August 5. Hanson told police that he was assaulted by Cable. If charges are brought against Cable it could lead to a suspension by the league. There is already speculation inside the Oakland camp about who would lead the Raiders on the online sportsbooks board should Cable be arrested. The NFL personal conduct policy extends to coaches and front office executives as well as players and, in fact, coaches are held to a higher standard.

“Everyone is trying to figure out who’s going to take over if Tom isn’t here,” said an anonymous assistant coach. “John Marshall has a lot of experience, he’s probably the guy. But it’s nuts. It’s crazy when you start to really think about it.”

Hanson’s attorney, John McGuinn, said three other Raider assistant coaches witnessed the attack. McGuinn has stated that the situation was a “textbook case of felony assault.”

This latest incident further damages the already poor reputation of the Raiders at online sportsbooks. Oakland has an internet sportsbook record of 1-3 straight up and 2-2 against the spread. They have lost their last two games against the online sportsbooks number, however, and played poorly in the process. This week’s internet sportsbook match for Oakland will be on the road against the New York Giants. The Giants are considered to be the best team in the NFC by online sportsbooks analysts.

The Raiders have scored just 9 points in their last 2 games in losses to online sportsbooks against Denver, (3-23), and Houston, (6-29). Their offense ranks 31st in the league for scoring.

Perhaps Cable’s departure would serve to help the Raiders, who have degenerated into one of the worst franchises in sports.
