Preseason Bettors May Go-Against Vikings at Sportsbook Website

Preseason Bettors May Go-Against Vikings at Sportsbook Website. A team that may be a go-against in the preseason at the sportsbook website is the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are dealing with a number of injuries in the preseason and they still have the Brett Favre decision hanging over their heads.  Minnesota opens up the preseason at St. Louis and bettors at the online sportsbook give the Rams a chance to win that game as the odds are a pick.

Sportsbook website odds in the regular season would list the Vikings as at least a touchdown favorite over the Rams but in the preseason the line is a pick. Minnesota could be without many starters for Saturday’s game against the Rams. Brett Favre has not announced whether he is coming back this season and he is not the only star who is injured.  Running back Adrian Peterson just recently returned to practice with a sore leg so it is unlikely he will play on Saturday. Wide receiver Sidney Rice has an injured hip and has yet to practice at all.  Wide receiver Percy Harvin missed a lot of practice time following the death of his grandmother so he probably won’t play.  It has really been a mismatched mess so far with Minnesota’s first string offense.

Minnesota does have more talent than St. Louis but with so many players injured the depth chart really changes for the Vikings. It is really hard to back a team when they are going to end up playing third and fourth string players for much of the game. That will not be the case for the Rams as they are looking to get their starters some work. The Rams took Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. He is likely to start the season as the backup behind A.J. Feeley.

The Rams would really like to have some success in the preseason since their culture has been losing for the most part in recent years. The Vikings may not have their starters for their opening game but the Rams are still behind most NFL teams in terms of talent.  Bettors at the online sportsbook seem to be taking a shot with St. Louis though in the preseason opener since Minnesota has so many injuries.
