Patriots at Chiefs Monday Night Football Betting Odds

March 2nd, 2020 Sportsbook

It is now time to check in on the NFL betting odds and tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the New England Patriots -2½ (-120) and Kansas City Chiefs +2½ (EV).

In the recent past seasons, the Patriots were a team to beat and a threat at away games. This season it seems that those days are gone, as they are 2-6in games on the road where they are the favorites to win. Tonight could very well be confirmation of this losing trend, but there are some fans that believe that it could be a turning point for the Pats.

As far as the point spread goes, New England fought and clawed out a W over the Raiders last week, but failed to cover the spread for the second game in a row. Currently experts believe that this trend is due to change tonight, as the Kansas defense is not thought to be a major threat to them. The Patriots offense, if they catch fire, might be too much of a handful for the Chiefs.

The NFL betting odds have the Patriots as favorites, and now would be a great opportunity for New England to cover the spread. The Chiefs on the other hand, might have two losses under their belts, but their team has outgained and outrushed the Broncos Despite (losing that game) and also on their win against the Dolphins. So they can too cover the short spread.

The Chiefs are coming from a great victory against the Dolphins 34-15, but that win might only set them up for a fade on tonight’s game. The Patriots are a great team, despite their last performances and giving the short spread, the smart money is to bet New England to win covering the spread. However, considering how both teams are looking, it is understandable that some fans looking into the NFL betting odds to considering laying some money on a surprising win by the Chiefs tonight.
