Mike Lowell Injured, No Rangers-Red Sox Trade Sportsbook

Mike Lowell Injured, No Rangers-Red Sox Trade Sportsbook.Sportsbook has the proposed trade between the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox being off now that Mike Lowell is injured.  The two teams had agreed to a trade as offshore sportsbook info indicated but Lowell is going to have surgery to repair a torn radial collateral ligament in his right thumb.

Sportsbook had the Rangers and Red Sox agreeing to a deal that would have sent Max Ramirez and money to Boston for Lowell. The Red Sox would have paid much of Lowell’s salary for next offshore sportsbook season. Texas was hoping that Lowell could split the DH job with David Murphy and also backup Chris Davis at first and Michael Young at third. The Rangers will probably have to look for another solution now. Lowell had hit .290 with 17 homers and 75 RBIs in 445 at-bats last sportsbook season. Lowell has had some injury issues of late that have caused him trouble.

Texas could now be looking at picking up Jermaine Dye, Vladimir Guerrero or maybe even Jim Thome for next sportsbook baseball season. “I expect we’ll still add to the club in a few spots,” Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said. “We’ve been in regular contact with guys we’re interested in and I like our options. Fortunately for us, the market is relatively strong in the areas we’re looking at.”

Texas was a surprise last season versus the sportsbook odds. The Rangers went 87-75. They could have used Lowell to help them in a number of areas. Overall, the Rangers were 10th in the league in runs scored but at times they still struggled. Pitching was also an issue as they were 18th in the league in ERA as sportsbook stats showed.

Boston is still considered one of the World Series favorites next year behind the New York Yankees at the offshore sportsbook. The Red Sox were 95-67 versus the odds last season at the sportsbook. The Red Sox were third in the league in runs scored but that number could fall if they lose Lowell. They are also likely to lose Jason Bay as well. Boston may have to win more games with pitching next offshore sportsbook season and they are planning to do just that as they picked up John Lackey to solidify what could be a very good rotation.
