Michigan Cracks Top 25 Florida Still #1 Sportsbook

Sportsbook has the Michigan Wolverines back in the AP poll for the first time since the end of the 2007 season. Michigan is ranked 25th in the AP poll after their win over Notre Dame.  The Wolverines won 38-34 over the Irish and covered the offshore sportsbook odds.

Sportsbook info still had Florida at #1 after they rolled over Troy this past week.  Notre Dame was not given any respect as they dropped out of the rankings after their sportsbook loss to Michigan.  The #2 team in the poll is still Texas while USC is #3.  The Trojans knocked Ohio State out of the Top 10 with their 18-15 win.  The Trojans defeated the Buckeyes but they did not cover the sportsbook spread.

Alabama is a solid #4 in the AP poll while Mississippi and Penn State tied for fifth.  Last week it was Oklahoma State at #5 but they dropped like a rock to #16 after losing at home to Houston.  They probably should have dropped out of the Top 25 but that would have been a huge drop.  Houston made it into the poll at #21.  It is the first time the Cougars have been ranked since 1991.  That was the college football betting year Houston was ranked 10th before losing 40-10 to Miami.

The team that could upset the BCS apple cart is BYU as they moved up two more spots to #7.  They have not been ranked this high since they finished the 1996 sports betting season at #5.  California, LSU and Boise State are the other college football betting teams in the Top 10 of the AP poll.

Ohio State fell to #11 as offshore sportsbook info shows, and they are followed by Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and TCU.  Oklahoma State is 16th followed by Cincinnati, Utah, Nebraska and Miami.

Offshore sportsbook info had the teams 20 through 25 as Houston, Kansas, Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.

The win by the Wolverines was one of the highlights of the sportsbook week.  Freshman quarterback Tate Forcier threw the winning TD pass with just 11 second remaining to give the Wolverines the offshore sportsbook win.  Michigan should remain in the focus at the sportsbook since they have two easy games coming up against Eastern Michigan and Indiana. The game against Michigan State will be a big one at the sportsbook although the Spartans don’t look as good as people thought.
