McNabb Says He Will Start Sunday Sports books

McNabb Says He Will Start Sunday Sports books.  Sport books have had to factor in Donovan McNabb to the internet sports book line equation as he is expected to return to the Philadelphia lineup as quarterback on Sunday.

Sport books had the Philadelphia Eagles listed as 15 point internet sports book home favorites for Sunday’s game against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

McNabb’s return immediately inflates the sport books line as the Eagles do not have an impressive backup quarterback to go with. McNabb’s return makes the Eagles a complete team in the eyes of internet sports book handicappers.

Philadelphia will enter action on Sunday with a sport books record of 2-1 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. The Eagles suffered an embarrassing internet sports book home loss in their first game without McNabb to the New Orleans Saints 22-48 as 2.5 point dogs. Kevin Kolb played in place of McNabb and threw 3 interceptions in the loss.

The Eagles recovered the following game and scored a sport books win over the lowly Kansas City Chiefs 34-14 as 9 point home favorites. Philadelphia then was the beneficiary of good sport books timing as they had a bye last week to give McNabb an extra week to heal.

“The bye week came at the right time and gave me an opportunity to get back out there this week,” said McNabb.

McNabb hurt his rib in the season opening win at Carolina and has not played since. He is still in pain and will need to wear a protective jacket to absorb contact.

Even with McNabb at less than 100% the Eagles are an obvious playoff threat at sport books with him in the lineup.

“You’re talking about one of the all time greats playing quarterback,” coach Andy Reid said Wednesday. “Somebody who has been here a long time and when it’s all said and done will be one of the all-time greatest to play that position. It’s always good to get that kind of player back in there.”

McNabb was practicing this week and is expected to have running back Brian Westbrook in the lineup with him against the Bucs. Westbrook missed the KC game with a knee injury.
