Jones-Drew Rips Jaguars Play Calling Sports Books

Sports books have the Jacksonville Jaguars heavily favored at home this week as they host the St. Louis Rams. All is not well though with the Jaguars as running back Maurice Jones-Drew is ripping the play calling on offense.  The Jaguars are 2-3 on the NFL betting season and could get back to .500 if they get a win this week vs. the Internet sportsbook odds.

Sports books have Jones-Drew as one of the top running backs in the NFL.  He is a player who can impact the odds at sportsbooks on a regular basis.  When he is not happy the Internet sportsbook takes notice.  He ripped the team on Wednesday saying that the offense has to change after last week’s humiliating sportsbetting loss to Seattle vs. sports books odds. “I don’t like to be embarrassed, so I do get upset about it,” Jones-Drew said. “You lead by actions. You can only say so much. You can talk to somebody until you’re blue in the face and they’re not going to do anything. But if you go out there and show why you’re upset and you try to do something to correct your mistakes, then they’ll pay attention.”

The Jaguars seemed to quit last week against Seattle as NFL betting results showed and that really upset Jones-Drew.  The sportsbooks stats show that the Jaguars had seven drives where they went three and out. They fumbled the ball twice and quarterback David Garrard was sacked four times as sports books statistics indicated. “We have to figure out a way to be consistent,” Jones-Drew said. “The running game is like chess. The running game is your pawns. They don’t really mean that much in the beginning, but at the end, they surround the king and its check mate. That’s what the running game is.”  The Jaguars have not been running it as much this sports books season and it shows.  Part of the problem as Internet sportsbook info indicates is the offensive line that has had three different lineups the last three sports betting weeks.

Jacksonville’s fate against sportsbooks lines the next three weeks will foretell their season.  They face three winless teams in sports books odds.  They have the Rams this week at sports books followed by the Titans and Chiefs.  They should be favored in at least two of those games at sports books and could be against the Titans as well at the Internet sportsbook.
