Florida has Top College Football Recruiting Class – Sports book

Florida has Top College Football Recruiting Class – Sports book.Sports book odds are going to favor Florida a lot again in 2010 and probably for years after that. The Gators latest college football recruiting class was rated as the top in the country.  The Gators may have lost the SEC title game last year to Alabama in odds at the sportsbook but Florida is going to back again.

Sports book had the Gators getting a number of top players on national letter-of-intent signing day on Wednesday.  The top rated recruit in the ESPNU list of 150 players was defensive end Ronald Powell from Moreno Valley, California and he signed with the Gators.  Sportsbook had the third rated player in the class being Dominique Easley of Staten Island, New York and he signed with Florida. The best safety in the class, and the 10th rated player overall, Jonathan Dowling of Bradenton, Florida signed with the Gators.  Matt Elam who was the 9th ranked player as sports book numbers showed also went to Florida.

The rich just keep getting richer in college football as sportsbook info indicates.  Sports book had Texas with the second rated recruiting class led by defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat who is the son of former Dallas Cowboy Jim Jeffcoat. Texas also got one of the best outside linebackers in Jordan Hicks.  They got the second rated wide receiver in Mike Davis and the second rated defensive tackle in Taylor Bible. Not to be left out was defending champion Alabama who has the third rated class. They signed the best quarterback in the class, as Phillip Sims of Chesapeake, Virginia went with the Crimson Tide.

A few other teams had nice days on Wednesday as sports book numbers showed. Auburn got the best running back as Michael Dyer went with them. Florida State got the best cornerback in Lamarcus Joyner and one of the best outside linebackers in Jeff Luc.  USC got the best wide receiver in Robert Woods as sportsbook stats have it. UCLA had a nice day led by the second rated defensive end in Owamagbe Odighizuwa who signed with them. The Big 10 didn’t do as well in recruiting as sports book showed, as their top rated player was Demar Dorsey a safety that was ranked #12. He signed with Michigan.

What these signings tell you is that Florida and Texas are going to do very well vs. the odds at the sports book for many years to come.
