Danica Patrick to Run in at least 12 Nationwide Races – Sportsbook

Sportsbook will have Danica Patrick on the board in at least 12 Nationwide races this NASCAR season. It is possible she will be on the sportsbook board in a 13th race as well.  Sportsbook online numbers won’t have Patrick favored but she should attract a lot of attention in the races she runs.

Sportsbook has Danica Patrick driving for the JR Motorsports NASCAR team.  Patrick’s schedule is pretty much determined with the only possible addition being the opening race at Daytona.  The JR Motorsports team has entered their car in the race but it is unclear whether or not Patrick will drive in that race or start in the race at California first.  The Daytona race in the Nationwide Series is scheduled for February 13th with the race in the California the following week.  She will definitely be racing at California on the 20th of February and the following sportsbook online week in Las Vegas.

She will then not be on the board at the sportsbook for four months in the Nationwide but she will be on the board during that time for her IndyCar races.  She will be back on the Nationwide Series for the sportsbook online race at New Hampshire on June 26th. “I’m thrilled to announce our 2010 Nationwide Series schedule,” Patrick said in a statement. “Like I’ve said before, we just want to be smart and calculative about this process. The tracks we’ve selected not only complement the IndyCar schedule, but will give me quality seat time at a variety of facilities.”

The Nationwide Series normally doesn’t get that much attention at the sportsbook but that is likely to change this year.  Whenever Patrick is running, the attention is going to be high.  In addition to those three previous races mentioned, the other nine that are confirmed for Patrick are at Chicago in July in sportsbook odds, at Michigan in August in sportsbook lines, at Dover in September, at California, Charlotte and Gateway in October, and Texas, Phoenix and Miami in November in sportsbook online action. Dover is sure excited to have her. “We are very excited,” said Gary Camp, director of public relations at Dover International Speedway. “She’s only able to participate in a select number of races, so to be one of those on her list is very exciting for the speedway. “There’s certainly a buzz surrounding her. Hopefully she will be able to take part in some activities around the track. Believe me, we would love to see Danica get the chance to celebrate in our Victory Lane.”
