Cliff Lee to Start World Series Opener Sportbook. Sportbook numbers could favor the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 1 of the World Series since they will be sending Cliff Lee to the mound. The Phillies will be the road team in Game 1 of the World Series on the offshore sportsbook board but with Lee on the mound they have a chance to win Game 1.

Game 2 in sportbook odds for the World Series could see Pedro Martinez on the mound for the Phillies. Martinez would love to start against the Yankees. He pitched seven shutout innings against the Dodgers and could be the choice in sportbook stats for Game 2. Cole Hamels has not pitched well this year and may not get the Game 2 nod in offshore sportsbook odds. Pedro is 6-2 with a 3.13 ERA in 14 playoff sportbook appearances. “He’s been in the big moment, and I think that his performance the other day in Dodger Stadium, how good he pitched, he deserves another chance to go back out there,” Manuel said.
Sportbook info shows that Pedro would love to face the Yankees again. “I respect the Yankees. I love the Yankees. But I would love to beat them as bad as I look forward to them,” Martinez said.
Sports betting numbers on the World Series will be on the board and the Phillies will be underdogs at the offshore sportsbook since they do not have home field advantage. That should not be a problem though since the Phillies have been the best road team in online sportsbook betting.
