Cardinals Looking to Win the West Once Again

Cardinals Looking to Win the West Once Again. Professional football is so close that fans are beginning to dream of a successful NFL betting season. But there’s no reason why those dreams shouldn’t become a reality. With a small amount of luck and a large amount of preparation making the right predictions can be stress-free.

There are plenty of betting lines to choose from and one of particular interest is the prediction for the NFC West. The Cardinals came away with the division last year and a brief look at the division’s history will reveal that their likely to come away with it in 2016. The Seattle Seahawks won the division in 2013 and followed that season by winning the West again in 2014, but they were just following suit.

The San Francisco 49ers won the division in 2011 and then again in 2012 setting precedent to the trend that is taking shape. With that in mind many fans are likely to pick the Cardinals to win the division in 2016. Let’s check the best football betting websites to see what they think of the Cardinals chances to keep up with the NFC West’s latest trend.

Odds to Win NFC West

Arizona Cardinals +165
Los Angeles Rams +1025
San Francisco 49ers +2650
Seattle Seahawks -120

The sportsbooks seem to favor the Seahawks who were not absent from last year’s playoffs. Seattle clinched a playoff berth via Wild Card and made it all the way to the divisional round were they lost to the future NFC champion’s, the Carolina Panthers. Russell Wilson will be quarterbacking this offense and things are looking up for the young star after he set an NFL record last season. Wilson had a five-game win streak that saw him post a quarterback rating of 120+ in each game, setting a league record.

Wilson’s play has been phenomenal but a crumbling offensive line might make it harder for the young quarterback to continue his success. Pete Carroll will be returning for the 6th year in Seattle and he has been doing a fantastic job juggling his duties as head coach while finding time to read up on the latest conspiracy theories. Their defense is solid from top to bottom and the only thing stopping this team from making the playoffs is a flurry of injuries. The NFL betting odds place them atop of the West but some fans are convinced that spot belongs to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals have gone 34-14 since Bruce Arians took over the reins and have proven to be a force within the division after making it to last year’s NFC conference game. The Cardinals came extremely close to get a ticket to the Super Bowl and had they managed to keep their defense healthy, and Carson Palmer from playing poorly, they more than likely would have faced the Broncos in the fight for the Lombardi Trophy. Most of  2015’s roster will be returning this year with some solid acquisitions; Evan Mathis to solidify the O-line and Chandler Jones and Robert Nkemdiche to help get after their opponent’s quarterbacks.

The Rams will be getting cozy in Los Angeles and will be eager to earn a fan base right out of the gate. The NFL betting odds have them ranked higher than the 49ers who are currently battling controversy at the quarterback position. Ultimately it’ll be interesting to see who wins the AFC West, as well as how the Kaepernick situation resolves itself.
