Boise State Looking for BCS Help Sports books

Sport books have Boise State looking for some help this weekend. The Broncos need to win their game against Nevada on Friday and then get some help from another team if they are to crash the BCS bowl party.  Yes, Boise State is ranked 6th but it is unlikely they are going to be on the board for a BCS bowl game at the Internet sportsbook unless they get some help.

Sport books have the big game for Boise being played in Oklahoma as the Sooners host #11 Oklahoma State. Most people believe that the Cowboys are going to get a BCS bowl to invite if they defeat the Sooners. If the Cowboys lose, and they are 9.5 point underdogs at the Internet sportsbook, then the Broncos could slip into the BCS bowl picture.

Boise State actually has two games left in sport books odds but they are not likely to get tested in their season finale against New Mexico State. Their key game at the Internet sportsbook is this Friday as they host Nevada. The Broncos are 12-point favorites at sport books.  Even if Boise wins against Nevada they could be left out in the cold when it comes to a BCS bowl game. Florida and Alabama are playing in the SEC title game and the winner is going to play in the national championship game assuming both teams remain unbeaten.

Texas has Texas A&M and then Nebraska next week in sport books lines in the Big 12 title game. If they win both games they will play in the title game.  TCU has just a game against New Mexico remaining and the Horned Frogs are going to win that as they are 41 point favorites at sport books. Boise is right with Cincinnati in the BCS standings but they are behind TCU and that means they could get left out.

If Oklahoma State wins against Oklahoma they are likely going to the Fiesta Bowl since Texas would play in the BCS Championship. That scenario leaves Boise out in the cold. And don’t think it can’t happen. Last year Boise was unbeaten but Utah got the automatic BCS bid. That bid is going to TCU this time which means Boise needs an at-large berth. The Broncos will be wildly cheering for the Sooners this sportsbooks weekend.  The Sooners have won 29 straight games at home but this is not a great Oklahoma team even though the Sooners are favored by over a touchdown at the Internet sportsbook.
