AAF TV Coverage:  CBS

Atlanta at Orlando Saturday, February 9, 2019, 8 p.m. ET on CBS

Accordingly, AAF betting action will open with the Atlanta Legends facing the Orlando Apollos.   Spectrum Stadium in Orlando will host this inaugural game.  Kevin Coyle is the head coach of the Legends but the real legend is on the other side line.  Indeed, Steve Spurrier will lead the Apollos in their launch as a new franchise in this new league.  At the onset of the season Atlanta was disrupted with the resignation of head coach Brad Childress.  Coyle has never had such a role.  More emphatically this could give Spurrier and the Apollos the big edge.

San Diego at San Antonio, Saturday, February 9, 2019, 8 p.m. ET CBS

Also, on CBS prime time will be the San Diego Fleet facing the San Antonio Commanders.  The Alomodome in San Antonio will be the host venue.  Mike Martz is head coach of the Fleet.  Above all Martz is known for leading the Rams to a Super Bowl loss against New England in the 2001 NFL season.  San Antonio is led by veteran head coach Mike Riley who was last seen on the sidelines at Nebraska in 2017.  The Commanders will have David Cobb carrying the load as running back.

Memphis at Birmingham, Sunday, February 10, 2019, 4 p.m. ET CBSSN

Extending week one AAF action will be the Memphis Express and the Birmingham Iron.  Legendary Bears linebacker and former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary leads the Express.  While Tim Lewis will serve as head coach of the Iron.  The game will take place at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama.  It follows that the “Iron” will be associated with the famed Iron Bowl played annually between Auburn and Alabama each November.  Encompassing Memphis are quarterbacks Zach Mettenberger and Christian Hackenberg.  Counter to that for Birmingham are signal callers Scott Tolzien and Blake Sims.

Salt Lake at Arizona, Sunday, February 10, 2019, 8 p.m. ET NFLN

And week one offshore betting will wrap up from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe Arizona.  In turn the host Arizona Hotshots will host the Salt Lake Stallions.  Former college coach Rick Neuheisel leads Arizona.  Counter to the coaching matchup is Dennis Erickson of Salt Lake.  Former Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight plays for Arizona.  Following that is former Utah running back Matt Asiata for the Stallions.

Matchup to Watch

On this occasion Orlando and Spurrier would seem to have a good AAF betting advantage.  Compared to other coaches “The Head Ball Coach” has experience of success in start up leagues from his days in the old USFL.
