Sports betting odds will feature the New York Jets in ESPN’s Monday Night Football opener as they host the Baltimore Ravens.  Two weeks later the Jets are in Miami on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.  In week five they are at home on Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings. The Jets are on Monday Night Football a total of three times, they are at home against the Bengals on Thanksgiving night on the NFL Network plus they have that NBC game against Miami. They are also set to be featured four times in the late afternoon on either CBS or Fox.  Are you ready for the hype surrounding the New York Jets in 2010?

The NFL is going with the hot team in prime time.  The Jets were the team to watch late last season with head coach Rex Ryan and quarterback Mark Sanchez.  It should be noted though that the NFL has done this before and been wrong. Two years ago they put Cleveland into five prime time games and the Browns flopped. Last year it was the Miami Dolphins in four prime time games and they didn’t make the playoffs.

The Jets may be the chic team in sportsbetting but they do not have an easy schedule. Opening at home against Baltimore will not be easy and the following week they host the New England Patriots.  They follow that game up with the NBC Sunday night game at Miami.  In Week #4 they travel to Buffalo. The next week they host Minnesota in what could be a Brett Favre homecoming game.  Week six has them traveling to Denver in another tough game.

The Jets have a bye in Week 7. They face another tough game in Week 8 in sports betting as they host Green Bay.  They finally get what looks like a break in Week 9 as they go to Detroit.  Week 10 has them at Cleveland while they host Houston in Week 11.  Cincinnati pays them a visit on Thanksgiving night while they are at New England in Week 13.  Miami visits in Week 14 while they go to Pittsburgh in Week 15.  Week 16 has them at Chicago while they finish the regular season at home vs. Buffalo.
