Week 2 CFL Online Sports Betting Odds

Online sports betting odds for Week 2 of the CFL season are on the board with Toronto at Winnipeg the first matchup on Friday. The Bombers are the only East Division team that started with a win as they routed Hamilton 49-29 last week, easily covering the offshore sports betting odds.

Online sports betting odds heavily favor Winnipeg on Friday night against Toronto. The Blue Bombers are 11.5 point favorites with a total of 46.5. It will be the second straight home game for Winnipeg.  Wide receiver Terrence Edwards had a career-high 191 yards and two touchdowns last week while Buck Pierce threw for 291 yards.  Winnipeg is not likely to have too much trouble against a Toronto team that can’t score. They put up just 16 points last week in a 30-16 loss to Calgary.

Saturday’s action in the CFL has Calgary at Hamilton and Saskatchewan at British Columbia.  Both road teams are slight underdogs in offshore sports betting.  Hamilton is a two-point favorite against Calgary with a total of 52 while BC is a 2.5 point favorite with a total of 54 as they host Saskatchewan.  It could be a tough game for Saskatchewan as they could suffer a letdown after last week’s exciting 54-51 win in overtime against Montreal.  BC played great defense last week but they will be tested by Saskatchewan quarterback Darian Durant who threw for 478 yards and five touchdowns last week against Montreal. Hamilton will have to play better defense than they did last week if they hope to beat Calgary.  Hamilton gave up 49 points last week against Winnipeg.

Sunday’s game has Montreal at Edmonton.  The Alouettes will be looking to bounce back after last week’s overtime loss to Saskatchewan.  Montreal is a 5.5 point favorite on the road with a total of 54.  Montreal was excellent on offense last week as quarterback Anthony Calvillo threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns but the defense gave up 54 points, 14 of which came in overtime.  Edmonton will need better play from quarterback Ricky Ray as he didn’t have a TD last week and the offense only put up 10 points.  Edmonton did get 116 yards rushing from running back Arkee Whitlock but it wasn’t enough.
