Turkish Grand Prix Odds up at Sports Betting Companies

Turkish Grand Prix Odds up at Sports Betting Companies. The Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 will get most of the attention from race bettors at sports betting companies but not to be left out is the Turkish Grand Prix on Sunday. Red Bull teammates Sebastian Vettel and Mark Weber are the two sports betting favorites to win the Turkish Grand Prix.

Sports betting companies list Vettel at +150 to win the race while Webber is +200.  Other contenders are Fernando Alonso who is +350, Lewis Hamilton at +550, Jenson Button at +1050 and Felipe Massa at +1250.  The rest of the drivers are part of the field at +600.

So far this season it has been all Red Bull as Vettel and Webber are tied at the top of the standings with 78 points.  These two drivers were right there in this race a year ago as Webber finished second while Vettel was third. Jenson Button won the race a year ago and he is a contender this week although the Red Bull cars have been very tough to beat lately.

Red Bull is leading the constructor’s standings with 156 points while Ferrari and McLaren are in a tight battle for second.  The driver’s standings are more competitive with Alonso just three points back of Webber and Vettel while Button is just eight points back.

Sunday’s Turkish Grand Prix is the 7th race of the F1 season.  Webber has won the last two races while Vettel was third at Barcelona and second in Monaco.  Alonso was second at Barcelona but a disappointing sixth in Monaco.

This is a big week for Button and Hamilton as the McLaren drivers look to bounce back from disappointing efforts.  Hamilton has been having all kinds of trouble and he is now 17 point behind in the driver’s standings.  Mercedes teammates Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg haven’t done much but at least Schumacher seems to be improving. A possible long shot contender this week could be Renault’s Robert Kubica.

It is a big auto racing sports betting weekend with premier races in Indy Car and NASCAR.  Formula One action should also be good in the Turkish Grand Prix.  The way things are going so far this season it looks to be another battle between Vettel and Webber on Sunday.
