He supposedly is still going with his new putter, the Nike Method instead of his old Scotty Cameron. Until Tiger proves he can make putts on a regular basis he should not be favored. Tiger said that he wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 majors and a few years ago that looked to be a certainty. It is not a certainty anymore. Woods has not won a major in almost three years and the clock is ticking. Tiger is no longer a young superstar. He is 35 years old and other players are starting to make their mark. Many people believe that Germany’s Martin Kaymer will be the great golfer of the next few years and great competition makes Tiger’s job that much more difficult.
