Robben’s Injury Might Affect Bayern’s Online Sports Betting Odds

Robben’s Injury Might Affect Bayern’s Online Sports Betting Odds. Bayern Munich is still going to be favored in the Bundesliga but their online sports betting odds could be affected since they will be without Dutch star Arjen Robben to start the season.

Robben will not play in Bayern’s season opener on August 20th and he may miss the opening round of the Champions League as well.  Bayern could be a little bit vulnerable in offshore sports betting odds without their star midfielder.

Online sports betting odds on Bayern could be adjusted a little bit with Robben out of the lineup. He was a key player for the team last season and it is uncertain when he will return. Bayern is very upset that Robben is injured at all since he played with the injury during the World Cup for the Netherlands.  Bayern said that Robben had a thigh injury before the World Cup and that the injury never healed properly. He missed most of the group stage in the World Cup but came back and was in the lineup for the Netherlands in the knockout round. The Netherlands made it all the way to the final before losing to Spain.

Bayern Munich has said that Robben will miss at least eight weeks and perhaps more time. The team is furious that Robben came back to play for the Netherlands with the injury.  Robben pulled his hamstring before the World Cup but was rushed back and he played for the Netherlands in their key World Cup matches and he was very effective. Bayern’s club doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt said that Robben has a muscle tear and that the injury was not diagnosed properly by Dutch doctors.  Bayern is so upset that they are looking for compensation from the Dutch federation. They have said they will go to the FIFA if needed. Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is upset about the entire situation regarding Robben’s injury.

Bayern opens up the Bundelisga season at home vs. Vfl Wolfsburgh at home.  They will be favored in offshore sports betting odds in that match even without Robben.  Bayern’s first road match will be at Kaiserslautern on August 27th while they come back home on September 11th for a match vs. Werder Bremen. Robben could also miss league matches as Bayern hosts FC Cologne and Mainz in addition to a road contest against TSG Hoffenheim.
