Phillies are Loaded – The Phillies were third in the National League in runs scored. They have a great lineup that really has very few weaknesses. Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jason Werth are a potent trio. Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino always seem to be on base and they also have Raul Ibanez, Carlos Ruiz and Placido Polanco. As good as the lineup may be, the pitching is even better. No team in baseball can touch their rotation of Halladay, Oswalt and Hamels. Brad Lidge has been very solid of late as the closer and Ryan Madson is a solid setup guy. The Phillies are favored for good reason and anything less than a World Series title would be a surprise on the sports betting page.
