Sports Betting Fans Note Miller Signing with Miami

The Miami Heat continues to make moves that should help them vs. the sports betting odds next season. The Heat already has LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and they recently re-signed Udonis Haslem. On Thursday they made another move that Internet sports betting fans noted as they signed Mike Miller.

Sports betting odds list the Heat as the favorite to win next season’s NBA title with the Lakers the second choice.  The Heat have made so many moves that it has been hard to keep track.  The big three of James, Wade and Bosh get the most attention but complementary players are important.  Haslem was a key signing by Miami and Miller is another player who can make a sports betting impact. The Heat really took the signing of Miller seriously as they inked him to a five-year, $25 million dollar deal.

Miami had targeted Mike Miller as a player that could complement James, Wade and Bosh with his outside shooting. Miami was able to clear more cap space by trading Michael Beasley to Minnesota and they used some of that money to sign Miller.

The addition of Miller is not one that should be ignored in Internet sports betting. He shot a career-best 48 percent from 3-point distance a year ago with the Wizards and his scoring average is a solid one at 13.7 points per game. He is a player that can be very helpful to the Heat next season. Miller has played for Orlando, Memphis, Minnesota and Washington in his career.  He has never played for a team that won a playoff series but that should end next season as Miami is expected to win.

Sports betting odds are going to favor Miami most of the time next season. With the power trio of James, Wade and Bosh, the Heat are going to be laying points almost every night.  While those three players are important, the play of role players like Haslem and Miller will also be critical if the Heat is to win big games.  Many people in sports betting didn’t think Miami would be able to get quality complementary players for the big three but so far, so good as Miami got Haslem and Miller.
