Sports Betting Handicappers Expect Bradford to be Top NFL Pick

Sports betting handicappers favor Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford to be the first pick in the NFL Draft. The St. Louis Rams have the first pick and all indications are that the Rams will take Bradford first overall.  Sports betting online odds list Bradford as the favorite to go with the first pick although the Rams have not officially said anything one way or another.

Sports betting fans watched on Monday as Bradford had a workout at Oklahoma.  He completed a number of passes and was impressive throwing the long ball. “Really positive. I thought the whole workout was positive,” said St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney, “I think he answered a lot of questions for a lot of people today.”

Bradford completed all but one of his passes and threw the ball over 50 yards at times. “I thought I did very well today,” Bradford said. “I showed a wide variety of throws. I didn’t just come out and show the basic things, I showed some in the gun, on the move and different throws. I think I showed everyone that I can still make all the throws and my shoulder is just what is was before I got hurt.”  Sports betting information on the workout of Bradford had a number of NFL executives in attendance including Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, San Francisco head coach Mike Singletary and Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren.   Unless Seattle, San Francisco or Cleveland trade up, they are unlikely to land Bradford. Sports betting numbers indicate that the Seahawks have the 6th and 14th picks, Cleveland picks seventh while San Francisco picks 13th and 16th selections. “He hit every ball, he was dead on it and looked great. This is what you’d hope happens and he did a beautiful job,” Carroll said.

Sports betting statistics a couple of years ago indicated that Bradford won the Heisman Trophy as he threw for 4,720 yards and 50 touchdowns with only eight interceptions.  He came back last season but got hurt in the first game against BYU that Oklahoma lost vs. sports betting online odds. He returned later in the season for one game but got hurt again. The Rams are still not giving away what they are going to do but nothing Bradford did has hurt his cause. “It’s another piece,” Devaney said, “It’s an important piece but it’s a piece.”
