Nadal Heavily Favored in French Open Sports Betting Odds

If you are looking for someone to beat Rafael Nadal French Open sports betting odds you might want to reconsider. There doesn’t look to be anyone capable of beating Nadal at Roland Garros and that is why Nadal is a huge favorite in sports betting online odds.

Sports betting odds list Nadal as the odds-on favorite at -280.  The only other player given any kind of chance to beat him is Roger Federer who is 4-1. The problem with taking Federer at the French Open is two-fold. Federer is not that great on clay and he is not playing well. If you are looking for longshots there will be plenty of them in the French Open but you may be better off playing matchups than betting on someone other than Nadal to win the French Open.

The question in the French Open will be what player can make the final from the opposite end of the draw.  Federer would be a risky choice the way he has played this year.  David Ferrer is getting some action in sports betting odds as he is down to 25-1 to win the French Open.  Andy Murry, Fernando Verdasco and Robin Soderling are the only other players even on the radar at odds of 30-1. The one player that could at least give Nadal a match is Gael Monfils. He excels on clay and could at least make things interesting. He has appealing odds of 60-1.  Another longshot could be Ernest Gulbis who has played well on clay this season.  He is getting some attention on the sports betting odds board with his good play.

Novak Djokovic is number three in the world but you never can predict if he will show up with his top game.   Andy Murray is the same type of player as you never know if he is going to produce. Last year in the French Open the player that beat Nadal was Robin Soderling.  He could do some damage at the French Open this year but he is unlikely to win. Ferrer has already beaten Murray this season so he may be a better choice than Murray in the French Open.

A player you probably want to avoid in French Open betting is Andy Roddick.  He has been knocked out in the first round four times and never made it past the fourth round.
