The hoopla surrounding the addition of LeBron James to the Miami Heat has caused other teams to go under the radar a bit in NBA off-season sports betting.

One of the teams that have quietly improved their squad for next season is the Chicago Bulls.  They have made a number of good off-season moves that should put them in a position to win next season vs. the online sports betting NBA odds.

Sports betting odds on the Bulls will be interesting next season as the Bulls will have a much different look. They will still have Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah but they will also have Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer. The Bulls had earlier signed Boozer and Korver and on Friday they inked Ronnie Brewer to a three-year, $12.5 million dollar deal.

The Bulls are looking to become the Utah Jazz of the Eastern Conference. They have a guard in Derrick Rose who is similar to Deron Williams and now they have three former Utah players.  Boozer had been a fixture with the Jazz and he will be a great addition for Chicago.  Korver is an excellent outside shooter and now the team has added Brewer. He averaged 8.8 points in 58 games with the Jazz and Grizzlies last season.  Chicago expects him to play alongside Rose in the backcourt next season.

Another deal that has totally gone unnoticed that the Bulls made was the signing of 7-foot center Omer Asik from Turkey.  The Bulls really like his potential and believe he could be a major force in the middle. If he takes over and plays well in the middle, the Bulls could have a very good starting five of Asik, Boozer, Noah, Rose and Brewer with Korver coming off the bench and they could still have Luol Deng if he is not traded.

The Miami Heat is the favorites next season to win the NBA title because of their off-season moves but the Chicago Bulls should also be given a serious look. They are going to be a lot better than they were last year with the changes they have made. The Bulls were a .500 team last season at 41-41 but they should be much better in 2010-2011.  The Bulls are starting to attract some attention in future odds as well as they have fallen to 15-1 to win next year’s NBA title.
