Sports betting at the online sportsbook favors Real Madrid as they open the Champions League on Tuesday at FC Zurich. The nine-time European Champs opener up Spanish league play with two wins and now will turn their attention to the Champions League.  Real Madrid is a big road favorite in online sports betting for Tuesday’s match.

Sports betting has Real Madrid laying 1.5 goals against FC Zurich in Tuesday with a total of 3 at the sports book.  There is also a three-way online sports betting line at the online sportsbook for the match.  Real Madrid is listed at -350, Zurich is +865 and the Draw is +390 at the sports book.

Real Madrid is one of the overall favorites for the Champions League in sports betting. They have one of the best players in the sports betting world in Cristiano Ronaldo. The team also has Brazil playmaker Kaka to give them a powerful one-two scoring punch that can impact online sports betting at any moment.  Real Madrid has lost in the sports betting round of 16 five straight years as sports betting has it and that won’t be accepted this season with all of the high priced talent.  Just because Real Madrid is favored in sports betting doesn’t mean Zurich is going to roll over though. “Of course we have respect because Real is one of the best teams in the world,” Zurich coach Bernard Challandes said. “Your dream as a child is to play against these kinds of players. It is maybe a chance you get just once.”

This will be the 100th match in European competition for Zurich as sports betting indicated and they will have a sell out crowd.  Not many of Zurich’s players have Champions League experience as sports betting facts show. Just Finland defender Hannu Tihinen, Switzerland winger Johan Vonlanthen and midfielder Silvan Aegerter have played in the Champions League in the online sports betting past.

The sports betting group is a tough one for Zurich as they have to play seven-time champion AC Milan and 1993 winner Marseille. “We don’t have to just give away the points like everyone expects,” Challandes said. “We’re here and we will give everything.” Zurich is at least playing well and they are fourth in the Swiss league after beating Grasshopper by a score of 4-3 on Saturday in sports betting.
