Patriots and Steelers Favored in Online Sports Betting

Online sports betting odds have the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers favored to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLIV. Both teams are listed at 2-1 in sportsbetting odds to win the AFC.  Here are the online sports betting odds for the rest of the NFL teams.

Online sports betting odds actually favor the Patriots to win the Super Bowl so it is somewhat surprising that Pittsburgh has equal odds to win the AFC.  These are really the only two teams that are drawing much attention in online sports betting odds to win the AFC.  Only two other teams have online sports betting odds of less than 10-1 to win the AFC.  Indianapolis and San Diego are both listed at 7.5 to 1.

Tennessee is listed at 10-1 to win the AFC in online sports betting odds at the online sportsbook. Those odds might seem a little bit high considering the Titans had the best regular season record in the AFC last year. Surprisingly, the Buffalo Bills are next at 11-1 in online sports betting odds. The Bills didn’t even have a winning record last season but the public is excited about the Bills getting Terrell Owens so Buffalo is getting bet.  They are followed by the Houston Texans at 14-1 in sportsbetting odds. The Baltimore Ravens actually have online sports betting odds of 14-1 to win the AFC which is surprising considering the Ravens played in the AFC Championship game last year.

The remaining teams are longshots in online sports betting odds to win the AFC this season.  Cincinnati is listed at 18-1 in online sports betting odds.  Denver and the New York Jets are listed at 20-1 in sportsbetting odds.  Jacksonville and Miami are listed at 22-1 in online sports betting odds to win the AFC. The online betting odds on the Jaguars and Dolphins are somewhat surprising considering Jacksonville has been an AFC contender in the past while the Dolphins won the AFC East last year. Kansas City is a 25-1 longshot in sportsbetting odds but they should be improved this season with a new head coach and a new starting quarterback in Matt Cassel.

Cleveland and the Raiders are given the least amount of respect in online sportsbook odds. They are listed at 28-1.  Neither of these teams looks to be a contender for the AFC title in 2009.
