The incident reportedly occurred on Monday between James and his girlfriend as supposedly an altercation occurred and the woman reported it to police. “We are concerned anytime a student-athlete is mentioned in a police report,” head coach Chip Kelly said in a statement.

“We do not condone any behavior that doesn’t meet university standards or our football program’s standards, and we go to great lengths to actively educate our student-athletes regarding appropriate conduct. We have the utmost confidence in the local law enforcement authorities to determine the facts in all instances involving our student-athletes, and will reserve further judgment or comment until further information is available.”

Sports betting online had this as the latest black eye to the Oregon football program. During the sports betting season it was running back LeGarrette Blount who got into trouble for punching a Boise State player in the season opener.  He was suspended for much of the season but returned late in the sports betting online year.

James had a great year for Oregon during the college football sports betting season in 2009. He had 1,546 yards, the ninth-highest total in the country as sports betting stats indicated.  He had the second most yards in the Pac-10 and the most ever by a Pac-10 freshman.  He had seven straight games where he went over 100 yards as sports betting numbers indicated. He averaged 118.9 yards per game as sports betting had it and was a major force for the Oregon offense.

The arrest of James is just the latest trouble for Oregon football. Sports betting online info had kicker Rob Beard being charged with assault for an altercation last month. Another kicker, Mike Bowlin left the team this week and defensive end Matt Simms was kicked off the team.   Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was also on a police report that involved the theft of laptop computers although he was not a suspect.
