Two minutes later the suspense was over as Rooney converted to make it 2-0. It was Rooney’s 23rd career Champions League goal.
United Looking Ahead
With two away goals it is virtually a certainty that United is going to advance. Schalke would have to pull off a miracle at Old Trafford and that is next to impossible. They would have to score at least two goals and then keep United off the board. It is not going to happen. It would have been tough enough for Schalke just to get a draw on the road at United and now they have to do much more than that. United can now look forward to playing for the title against either Real Madrid or Barcelona. They should get a much stiffer test in online sports betting against either of those two teams. Schalke is simply overmatched in terms of talent all across the board against United except in goal.
