Florida State Injuries Could Impact Online Sports Betting Odds

The Florida State Seminoles continue to suffer injuries and their online sports betting odds could be impacted. The Seminoles do have an extra week to prepare since their first game is non-conference game against Samford and they should be able to win that game with second string players.  They will need everyone back though for their second game when they will be underdogs in offshore sports betting against Oklahoma.

Online sports betting odds list the Seminoles as one of the main contenders in the ACC this season.  Those odds were made though assuming that Florida State was healthy. The Seminoles lost junior defensive tackle Moses McCray and running back Tavares Pressley for the season with torn ACLs. The loss of McCray hurts since he had started 14 games in two seasons. The team is already dealing with the losses of junior linebacker Nigel Carr and receiver Jarmon Fortson.

Florida State could have some real issues on the defensive line. Now that McCray is gone, none of the remaining linemen have more than one season of experience.  Mark Stoops is in his first season as defensive coordinator and he has his work cut out for him.  FSU is hoping that Jaccobi McDaniel, Everett Dawkins and Anthony McCloud can do the job. Redshirt freshman Demonte McAllister will also get more action.

There is a real possibility that Florida State will be overrated to start the season in offshore sports betting college football odds.  No one will pay attention to the Samford game since it supposed to be an easy win for the Seminoles.  The games against Oklahoma and BYU will start to show if Florida State is any good.  They could have real problems stopping both of those offenses.  Florida State’s offense is good but if their defense can’t stop other teams then it is going to be a long year in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles will be underdogs at Oklahoma in Week 2 and probably small favorites vs. BYU at home in Week 3. They then will host Wake Forest in their ACC opener.  If they have trouble in that game then the Seminoles would have to be downgraded for the rest of the season and put as a long shot to win the ACC title.
