Oklahoma’s Gresham Out for Season Sports Betting Online

Sports betting online for the Oklahoma Sooners is not going to be nearly as popular as it once was.In addition to losing quarterback Sam Bradford for a few weeks, the team will be without All-American tight end Jermaine Gresham for the rest of the sports betting season.

Sports betting online had Gresham getting surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.  Losing Gresham is a huge blow to the Sooners in sports betting online at the online sportsbook.  Sports betting showed that he was considered the best tight end in college football and a huge threat for Oklahoma.  The Sooners are really going to miss his production and big play ability. He was Oklahoma’s top returning receiver with 66 catches for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns as sports betting stats had it. “He’s such a main target, presence on the field and quality player that it changes,” head coach Bob Stoops said. “It changes everything, your run-blocking along with your protection, along with him out in routes and, in particular, red zone stuff. You just have to work through it.”

The Sooners were considered a serious sports betting online contender for the national title. Now they are not much more than an afterthought in college football betting.  Without Gresham and with a loss to BYU on their schedule, the college football betting road is very tough for Oklahoma.  Sports betting online had Oklahoma dropping 10 spots in the AP poll from #3 to #13 after the loss to BYU. “After a start like that, it really just humbles you,” guard Brian Simmons said.

The Sooners have been down this sports betting online road before as three years ago they had quarterback Rhett Bomar and two other players kicked off the team because of NCAA rules violations and running back Adrian Peterson broke his collarbone. Sports betting online had Simmons believing it is different this time though. “I think this is a little more different because it’s Sam and Jermaine. That’s a lot,” Simmons said. “I’m not saying that they’re better or more talented than A.D. It’s slightly different.”

The Sooners get a chance to feel better about themselves this Saturday as they host Idaho State in a sports betting game they should win easily even without Bradford. “In the end, our guys know. We expect whoever’s out there to do well,” Stoops said. “You have to move forward. Just like other injuries, someone else has to step up and play. That’s what a team does, and our guys are aware of that.”
