Ohio State a Sports Betting Contender in 2010

Sports betting college football odds list Ohio State as the second choice to win the college football national championship next season and for good reason.

The Buckeyes are loaded with talent and in the Big 10 they have a chance to go unbeaten.  Ohio State could be favored in online sports betting in all of their games this season.

Sports betting odds list Ohio State as the 6.5 to 1 second choice behind Alabama to win the 2010-2011 college football championship.  Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel has his team ready to win. “Tressel has always thought that if you don’t go undefeated,” Buckeyes defensive lineman Cameron Heyward said, “the town’s against you.”  With Tressel at the helm the Buckeyes are 59-13 in Big 10 play and they have an overall record of 94-21.  They have seven BCS bowl appearances and four BCS bowl wins and one undefeated season in 2002. The Buckeyes are coming off a win in the Rose Bowl last year against Oregon and the excitement in Columbus is high, as are the expectations.

“Every year, we go through the spring, and when you’re in Columbus, Ohio, everybody’s expecting you to win a championship,” wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher said, “It comes with the territory, and it’s something we expect. Win or lose in the bowl game, you’re always going to come back and hear, ‘OK, this is our year.'”

The Buckeyes are simply loaded for next sports betting college football season. They return 16 starters, nine on offense and seven on defense.  Terrelle Pryor is no longer a youngster as this will be his third year as quarterback.  He has a very good offensive line in front of him and solid receivers in Sanzenbacher and DeVier Posey. The defense for Ohio State is excellent as always.

Ohio State is expected to win in online sports betting in 2010. “When [players] come here, they have the expectation that, ‘Hey, we want to see if we can become the best team in the country,'” Tressel said. “And I’m not sure if it’s simply because of what happened last year or the year before or the year before. That is our general expectation. We want to see if we can match up with the best. This will be my 10th year, and it doesn’t feel any different. I’ve always thought that we had capable talent.”
