NFL Fines Jets and Mangini Sports Betting Online. Sports betting online always seems to find quarterback Brett Favre in the news. Even when he is not with a team he is still impacting them in sports betting. The New York Jets got fined $75,000 as sports betting notes while GM Mike Tannenbaum was fined $25,000 for not reporting Favre’s torn biceps tendon injury last season.

Sports betting online noted that former New York coach Eric Mangini was also fined $25,000. Sports betting online has him as the current coach of the Cleveland Browns. The Jets had nothing to say except that they go along with the NFL but there really isn’t much they can say. “We have been fully cooperative with the league throughout this investigation and respect their decision,” the Jets said in a statement.

Sports betting online indicated that the Jets were basically caught in a lie and they had to pay the price. Favre told reporters about a week ago that he played the last four or five games of last sports betting online season with a torn biceps tendon. The Jets never listed Favre on the injury report as sports betting online shows. That is a clear violation of NFL rules since it states that injured players must appear in the report even if they’re expected to play. Sports betting online noted that Mangini was tutored under New England head coach Bill Belichick who never discloses anything that he doesn’t have to. The Jets are stuck with the blame since Mangini is now in Cleveland. But Mangini of course said or admitted little. “I have worked with the league on this matter and now consider it closed,” Mangini said.

Favre was terrible down the stretch last sports betting online season and the injury was a major reason why. Sports betting online had Tannenbaum saying that the Jets should have listed Favre as probable on the injury report.

NFL betting had this incident as just another example of coaches like Mangini or Belichick who think they are above the law. They used to be able to get away with things like that but under NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell they get held to a higher standard. It will be interesting to see in sports betting online how injury reports are treated in the future. There is no question in sports betting online that injuries are a major part of the game and their impact can be huge on the sports betting odds at the sportsbook.
