Sport betting has not been very successful this season on the Golden State Warriors. It may not get any better in online sports betting either even though head coach Don Nelson has said he will continue to coach the team.
Sport betting has Nelson second on the NBA’s career win list with more than 1,300 wins. Nelson has had issues this online sports betting season with star players Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis. Even with all of the problems, Nelson says he is staying for now. “Actually the organization wanted me to do two more years,” Nelson said, “I was ready to retire after last season and so I signed on for two more years and I’m going to oblige my contract.”
Golden State has a lot of talent but it has not meshed together this sport betting season. Jackson wants to be traded while Ellis doesn’t want to play with rookie Stephen Curry. The Warriors have started 3-6 straight up this season and 4-5 against the sport betting odds. Nelson believes that the Warriors will improve though. “The talent is young,” he said. “There definitely is enough young talent, but it needs to mature and get better and we’re willing to do that.”
Ellis has been leading the Warriors in scoring this sport betting season but his numbers are nothing special at less than 20 points per game. The team is not getting as much as they need out of Jackson who does not want to be with the team. “I was told this summer, coming into this season, I just thought we were going to have more of a veteran team,” Jackson said. “That’s what my understanding was and it wasn’t that when the season started.” Nelson believes that the team needs Jackson to win games and the sport betting stats support that belief. “I think it’s hard for him because when you don’t want to be somewhere it’s hard, but yet when you’re a good enough player I think he can help us and be a factor,” Nelson said. “Not easy for him, but that’s what he’s going to have to work through.”
Things may not get any better for Golden State in sport betting right away. The Warriors have a difficult online sports betting schedule as they are at Cleveland and Boston in their next two games, host Portland and then go to Dallas and San Antonio. There do not look to be any online sports betting wins in that group of games.
