Internet Sport Betting – Nationals Stay with Riggelman

Internet sport betting is likely to have the Washington Nationals underdogs in 2010 even though they are bringing back manager Jim Riggelman. The Naitonals took the interim tag off and made Riggelman the head man for next season.  Offshore sports betting had the Nationals going 33-42 under Riggelman last year.

Internet sport betting had Riggelman taking over midway through last season in place of the fired Manny Acta. The Nationals were terrible under Acta in offshore sports betting as they went 26-61.  They were at least respectable in offshore sports betting under Riggelman and actually a team that could be wagered on. Whenever you get plus money on a regular basis, especially big plus money in baseball betting, a team can be worth taking a shot on.

Overall last season, the Nationals finished 59-103 which was the worst record in the league.  The team continues to rebuild but some positive signs appeared in the second half of the season under Riggelman. This is not the first time Riggelman has managed.  He has a .444 career winning percentage in 10 seasons.  His best year was with the 1998 Cubs who went 90-73.

Washington general manager Mike Rizzo was happy with the way the Nationals played down the stretch. Riggelman is the third manager for Washington since the team moved from Montreal to Washington. The other two were Frank Robinson and Acta.  Just recently Acta was hired to manage the Cleveland Indians.

The key for Washington next season will be finding some pitching. They were very poor last year in Internet sportbetting as they allowed more than five runs per game. The offense wasn’t great but Adam Dunn did hit a lot of home runs and the team averaged almost 4.4 runs per game. The Nationals were not a team that made people money last year though although with Riggelman at the helm they were far better in offshore sports betting results.

The Nationals were 59-103 in Internet sport betting and it didn’t matter whether they were home or on the road. They were 33-48 at home in Internet sport betting results while they went 26-55 on the road. They were a team that did go under the Internet sport betting total more often than they went over. 83 of their games went under, 73 went over and there were three pushes against the Internet sportbetting number.
