Internet Sports Betting – U.S. Men’s Tennis at an All-Time Low

Internet Sports Betting – U.S. Men’s Tennis at an All-Time Low. Earlier this month in the latest tennis rankings there was no U.S. man ranked in the top 10.U.S. men’s tennis has reached an all-time low and there is no U.S. player to really like in sports betting odds at the Sbg sportsbook to win the French Open.

No Major Winners
Do you know the last time that a United States men’s player won a Grand Slam event?  It was eight years go when Andy Roddick won the U.S. Open. That was 29 tournaments ago and Roddick isn’t even playing in this year’s French Open.  He is now the poster child of the failure of men’s tennis as he almost always disappoints.   The longest the United States has ever gone without winning a Grand Slam event on the men’s side is 30 tournaments. They are going to tie that record in the French Open because there is not a U.S. man that is given any chance to win.  Roddick wouldn’t have won the French anyway so his withdrawal is meaningless.  And the U.S. is likely to extend that streak way past 30 tournaments as there are simply no U.S. men that can compete with the top tennis players in the world right now.

U.S. Used to Dominate
It wasn’t that long ago that the United States dominated men’s tennis.  One of the greatest was Pete Sampras and he was just the latest.  Before Sampras it was Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and others.

Future is Nadal and Djokovic
The future of men’s tennis looks to be with Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic. Roger Federer has dominated men’s tennis in recent years but he is older and his run is over. Djokovic has dominated men’s tennis this year with a 37-0 match winning streak heading into the French Open where he is a co-favorite in Internet sports betting along with Nadal.

Not Much Better on the Women’s Side
Because of the Williams’ sisters things are not quite as bad on the women’s side in tennis.  Neither is playing in the French Open though and it looks like both have seen their best days. Serena is ranked 17th in the world while Venus is ranked 29th.
